Arnold,
part of the Nick Jr cartoons, is a fictional character and the titular protagonist
in the Nickelodeon animated television series Hey Arnold!.
His head is shaped like an American football, thus earning
him the nickname "Football-Head", by Helga.
Arnold is a dreamer and an idealist who always tries to see
the best in people and to do the right thing. Whenever he
sees someone in trouble, Arnold goes out of his way to help
them out, even if it is not sensible to do so. Arnold often
acts as the stable center to those around him, whether he is
around his "family" in his grandparents' boarding house The
Sunset Arms, or around his friends at his school, P.S.
118.Arnold's adventurous parents, anthropologist Miles and
biologist/physician Stella, were doing missions in the
jungle of San Lorenzo when they disappeared.
Arnold's most catalytic relationship is with his classmate
Helga Pataki. Unbeknownst to Arnold, Helga is secretly in
love with him, though to keep these feelings secret she
verbally abuses Arnold so he will never come to that
conclusion. As such, Arnold has a more or less, tolerant
feeling towards Helga. He states throughout the series that
even though she acts bad she really is a good person.
Arnold's best friend is Gerald Johansen, whose relationship
dates as far back as pre-school. The pair have a distinct
handshake consisting of putting two thumbs-up fists together
and wiggling the thumbs back and forth. |

The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, also known as
just Jimmy Neutron, is an American animated television
series, that showed as Nick Jr cartoons.
This
Nick Jr cartoon series is about James Isaac "Jimmy" Neutron. He is an
11-year-old American boy with an awe-inspiring IQ and a love
for science. Usually, his inventions cause more harm than
benefit for the city of Retroville, but that never stops him
from trying. Most of the time, he's busy saving the city
from his own experiments gone wrong. He is best friends with
Carl and Sheen. His middle name comes from Isaac Newton, the
famous physicist.
Jimmy's trusty robotic dog is
Goddard the Robo-Dog. Considering he's made of sprockets,
circuits and widgets, Goddard makes one great man's best
friend. Plus, unlike real-life dogs, Goddard can transform
into a whole array of useful tools, vehicles and other
gadgets for Jimmy. Goddard's still has a few kinks to work
out, but otherwise, this digital dog is the perfect
mechanical canine companion.
Carlton "Carl" Wheezer is Jimmy's
shy, asthmatic right-hand man. Carl is allergic to lots of
things, including cats, turtles, and even lasers, yet he
still helps Jimmy with his experiments.
Ramon Martin "Sheen" Estevez is
Jimmy's hyperactive but heroic friend. He is obsessed with
Ultra Lord, a popular superhero action figure. Sheen
sometimes fails to grasp the reality of things and is very
random at times. He lives with his father.
Cynthia
"Cindy" Vortex is Jimmy's sassy, independent, intellectual
rival. She has a dog named "Humphrey" who she says is the
best dog in Retroville. Her best friend is Libby Folfax.
Liberty "Libby" Folfax is Cindy's best friend. She loves
funk & hip-hop and electronic gadgets. Unlike Jimmy's
friends, Libby does well in school, though she isn't at the
level of Jimmy or Cindy in terms of intellect.
Hubert Beaumont "Hugh" Neutron is
Jimmy's dad. He is very obsessed with ducks and loves pie.
He tries to spend as much time with Jimmy as possible and is
very intrigued by his inventions. He is really goofy but
loves his family, including his wife Judy who he often calls
"Sugar Booger". Hugh works at Mallard Motors as a car
salesman.
Judith "Judy" Neutron is Jimmy's mom. She is loving and is
the stereotypical 50's housewife. Her style is also typical
and her hair is in a distinctive cut. She loves her family,
and gives Jimmy advice about his life and his adventures. |

The Mighty B! is an American animated television series,
shown on Nick Jr cartoons.
This Nick Jr cartoons show is set in San Francisco,
California and is about the adventures of Bessie Higgenbottom, an ambitious and optimistic 9¾ year old
Honeybee scout who wears her uniform every day. She believes
she will become a superhero called The Mighty B if she
collects every Honeybee badge.
As of the first episode, she
has 4,584 badges to go. Her loyal younger brother, Benjamin
"Ben", aspires to be her sidekick. Happy, a stray dog with a
torn ear, is Bessie's pet and best friend. Bessie and Ben
lives with their single mother, Hilary, who owns and
operates a coffee shop called Hilary's Café. Bessie has an
"imaginary friend" called Finger, which is her left hand's
index finger with a smiley face on it.
Many recurring characters appear
alongside the Higgenbottom family, including the Honeybee
scouts. Penny is Bessie's clumsy, dim-witted, obese best
friend, who loves taffy. Although she and Bessie are best
friends, Penny also shows loyalty to Portia and Gwen. Portia
is a bratty, and snobby Honeybee scout, whose mother is the
troop leader. Along with the business-minded Gwen. Portia is
often opposing Bessie or tries to humiliate her. Bessie is
also friends with Rocky Rhodes, an older, "cool" skater who
works part-time at Hilary's Café. |

Kappa Mikey is an American animated
Nick Jr cartoons series. It centers
around Mikey Simon, a 19-year-old actor who just graduated
from high school and is from Cleveland, Ohio. He embarks to
Japan after winning a scratch-off card contest to star in
the country's formerly popular live-action series, LilyMu,
which is presented as an "anime". In doing this, he rockets
the show back to the top of the ratings, and becomes Japan's
biggest star in anime history.
Segments of LilyMu are seen at the
beginning and end of each Nick Jr cartoon episode, but the show focuses
primarily on the actors' and producers' lives off-set and Mikey's adjustments to the new world he has entered. The
humor comes from the fact that because Mikey is an American,
he actually stands out visually from the other cast members,
similar to the mix of styles in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
While most characters on the show are drawn in an
anime-inspired style such as using thin outlines, big,
detailed eyes, small mouths, and all ten fingers, Mikey and
all other American characters is drawn in a retro-inspired
American cartoon manner where using thicker outlines, single
black dot pupil eyes, a larger mouth, and only eight
fingers.
The humor is delivered
in a rapid pace, and also consists of light satire,
incongruity, slapstick, character quirks, and a fair amount
of gross-out humor. |

As Told by Ginger or simply Ginger is an American animated
Nick Jr cartoons series.
This Nick Jr cartoons series focuses mainly on the life of junior high school
student Ginger Foutley. She, along with her friends, Darren
Patterson, Dodie Bishop and Macie Lightfoot, all try to rise
from the position of school geeks as they solve many
conflicts that come their way. Luckily for Ginger, the most
popular girl in school, Courtney Gripling, has taken a
liking to her and often includes her in her social plans.
She is intrigued by her 'gingerisms', as Courtney calls
them.
However, Miranda Killgallen, Courtney's right hand
woman, makes sure that she is not bumped down from her
position thanks to Ginger. At home, Ginger records her
lively adventures in her diary. Her little brother Carl, is
often scheming with Robert-Joseph ("Hoodsey") Bishop in his
own side plots, and her mother, Lois, is always there for
advice Ginger is always open to listen to.
The series takes place in the fictional town of Sheltered
Shrubs, located in Connecticut. It is very rare for a
children's program, especially an animated one, to be set in
a specific area of the country. Sheltered Shrubs is actually
based on the real town of Larchmont, New York. Other towns
noted in the series are Protected Pines, a gated community
in which Courtney lives, Brittle Branches, where Ginger's
father resides, and Heathered Hills, the town of Ginger's
summer camp crush, Sasha. |

Rocket Power involves the daily situations of a group of
best friends named Otto, Reggie, Twister, and The Squid as
they live in the fictional town of Ocean Shores, California,
a beach front city based on Oceanside, California. The
characters often take part in a variety of sports and
activities including surfing, rollerblading, snowboarding,
skateboarding, street hockey, and street luge.
The main characters
of this Nick Jr cartoons, include Oswald "Otto" Rocket who is an
obsessive-compulsive and greatly successful, courageous
athlete whose cocky attitude and short-sighted judgment
often got him into trouble. He is Twister's best friend
and is the most well rounded character in extreme sports,
and also the leader and chief idea-starter of the group.
Regina "Reggie" Rocket is Otto's older sister by two years.
Reggie is an aspiring publisher who, while no less
competitive and skillful as an "athlete," happens to be of
calmer disposition and greater maturity. Maurice "Twister"
Rodriguez is Otto's best friend and a "daredevil" on wheels
and aspiring "videographer." He hates to be called by his
real name. He is often seen being teased by his big brother
Lars.
Twister's reputation of being the most unintelligent
member of the group is one of his flaws. Twister is best at
street luge, skateboarding and rollerblading.
Samuel "Squid" Dullard is a Hutchinson, Kansas native, who
while not as athletically gifted as the others, has found a
niche as the brains and conscience of the group—and also as
a "rock-solid" goalie when they play hockey. Sam's
reputation of being the smartest member of the group is, at
times, one of his flaws. Sam's mom is over-protective, and
she has forced Sam to skip the 5th grade. Sam was originally
the least athletic character, but eventually developed an
expert level of surfing and decent abilities in other
sports.
Other characters from this Nick Jr cartoons include Raymond "Raymundo roinks" Rocket,
Tito Makani Jr, Lars Rodriguez, Eddie Valentine, Oliver Van Rossun, Officer Shirley, Trish and Sherry, Mackenzie
Benders, Conroy Blanc, Merv and Violet Stimpleton, Bree
"Breezy" Copely, Doug Dullard, Noelani Makani Rocket and Lt.
Ryan. |

El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera is an animated
series produced for Nickelodeon and Nick Jr Cartoons Network.
Set
in the fictional crime-ridden Mexican city of Miracle City,
El Tigre follows the adventures of Manny Rivera, a regular
13-year-old boy with superpowers trying to choose between
being good or evil.
His father, a superhero known as White
Pantera, wants Manny to grow up to be good and fight evil,
but Manny's Grandpapi, a super villain known as Puma Loco,
thinks Manny should go to the dark side.
El Tigre was created by a husband-and-wife team named Jorge
Gutierrez and Sandra Equihua along with others who were
employed to make the show. The couple made the project from
experiences they had when they were younger. Manny Rivera is
based on Jorge's young self.
Many things known of the show
were based on actual events or parts in Jorge's life. His
father was an architect (which was viewed as good) and his
grandfather was a general in the military (which was viewed
as evil). That idea was exaggerated to the idea of Super
Heroes and Villains. The city Miracle City is based on
Mexico City, where Jorge grew up. |

Growing Up Creepie is an animated television
Nick Jr cartoons series made by
Mike Young Productions and produced by Discovery Kids.
Creepie was an orphan left on the doorstep of the Dweezwold
Mansion, which is home to a family of various insects. The
family took her in and raised her as one of their own.
However, she must now adjust to a life surrounded by a
society of insect phobic humans as she attends Middlington
Middle School and keeps her home life secret in order to
protect both herself and her family. Another great cartoon
that shows on Nick Jr cartoons. |

Ni Hao, Kai-Lan (Hi, Kai-Lan) introduces its viewers to
the Mandarin Chinese language, along with elements of
Chinese culture and values, multiculturalism, and
intergenerational families. This Nick Jr cartoons series uses cause and
effect problem solving. This includes helping Hoho learn to
be patient, helping Rintoo calm down because he's too mad,
and helping Tolee to take responsibility for his actions.
Kai Lan is a six-year-old playful, adventurous 1st
grader with a big heart. She speaks both English and
Mandarin Chinese, and she is super excited to share her
language, her culture and her playtime with her animal
friends. Her favorite animal is a dinosaur and in her music
group, she plays the tambourine.
Ye Ye (Mandarin word
for "paternal grandfather") is Kai-Lan's grandfather. He was
born in China and lovingly passes on his exciting traditions
to his granddaughter. He provides Kai-Lan with gentle
guidance, leading her to find her own answers, at her own
pace. He can also play the tuba.
Rintoo is a
smart, young competitive, impulsive and conceited
four-year-old tiger and one of Kai-Lan's best friends who
loves dragons and racing race cars. He even shares a special
roaring handshake with Kai-Lan: "tiger-tiger roar!" He has a
thirst for adventure and thrills and often pounces headlong
into the action without giving it much thought. But
underneath the bravado, he's a sweet caring tiger who looks
out for his friends. In Kai-Lan's music group, he plays the
xylophone. He is especially close to Tolee and Hoho. He
usually says "Ooh! Ooh!" before he talks.
Tolee is a
six-year-old boy koala that loves pandas and fruit,
especially apples, bananas, and pineapples. He is
intelligent and always thinks before he acts and sometimes
worries too much, but he never lets that stop him from
having a great time with his friends. Tolee also has a
stuffed Panda he affectionately named Pandy, and Tolee loves
Pandy so much he can't imagine being without him. He is the
vocalist in Kai-Lan's music group.
At age 3, Hoho the
monkey is the youngest of Kai-Lan's friends, so when he
participates in activities, he often goes first. He's full
of boundless energy and nothing makes him happier than being
the center of attention. He can often be found jumping on
his friends' heads or playing his turntables as the resident
DJ in Kai-Lan's music group. Aside from his turntables and
his friends, Hoho's favorite thing happens to be bananas.
Lulu is a six year-old pink rhino. She is always happy,
enthusiastic, and caring. Lulu speaks fluently in both
English and Mandarin Chinese. Lulu has a red balloon around
her nose, which helps her fly up in the sky. She lives in a
house that floats on a cloud. Her best friends are Kai-Lan
and Tolee. Lulu loves to dance and plays the piano. Some of
her favorite games include: playing house, having tea
parties, and dressing up like a fairy.
At the start
of almost every Nick Jr cartoons episode, Kai-Lan wakes up Mr. Sun so she can
start her day. Mr. Sun rises and showers down smiling sun
fuzzies to Kai-Lan and she gets tickled by them. He also
knows how to play the French Horn.
In one corner of
Kai-Lan's backyard is a teeming mini-metropolis of ants
called Ant City. The ants serve very important roles in the
community: they deliver mail, they build things, and they
love to play with Kai-Lan and her friends. San San is their
leader along with his two right-hand ants, Bubu and Fufu. |

Ricky Sprocket: Showbiz Boy is an animated television
Nick Jr cartoons
series. Ricky Sprocket is the world's biggest child film
star. He works for Wishworks studio and for Mr. Louie
Fischburger, his boss.
Despite the fact that Ricky stars in
some of his favorite movies, lives in a mansion, and
sometimes performs brain surgeries for actor patients,
otherwise he is a very normal kid who doesn't let celebrity
fame go to his head. He likes to hang out with his friends
and shares a rivalry with a spoiled female child star named
Kitten Kaboodle. Still, Ricky has chores and homework he
must do sometimes when he isn't battling animatronic props.
He's 10 and famous, adored, has everything a kid could
want, but at heart, he's still a normal kid with normal kid
problems. He loves hanging with his pals as much as he loves
making movies. One minute he's on set battling aliens, the
next he's doing his homework or taking out the garbage.
Bunny Sprocket is a down-to-earth, unsophisticated,
no-nonsense mother. She is loving and devoted and only sees
Ricky as a typical boy. She is more concerned with his
homework and taking out the garbage than "showbiz
shenanigans". She also used to be a trapeze artist in high
school.
Leonard Sprocket is Ricky's Dad. He is a
goofy guy, but he always means well. He's a dedicated
father, but not very sophisticated. Despite his son's fame
and fortune, he still works in a sausage factory and often
imparts wisdom to his son with stories about sausages. He is
also well meaning, but not that bright. In fact, he can be a
bit of a buffoon, which causes Ricky quite often some
embarrassment. He loves his job at Wishworks Sausages.
Ethel Sprocket is Ricky's younger sister. She is pretty
much the opposite of Ricky. She is smart and scheming and if
she can get Ricky into trouble, all the better. She has no
interest in her stupid brother's movie business.
Occasionally, Ricky has come to Ethel when he needs her. |
