Special Agent Oso
|

 |
|
Special Agent
Oso is a new kids animation which shows on the Disney
Channel currently. It stars Special Agent Oso who is a
secret agent that looks like a stuffed panda bear, in
training out to help kids with everyday tasks.
Shutterbug (a
ladybird) is Agent Oso’s flying camera who keeps an eye out
for kids that needs help in accomplishing simple daily
tasks. When Shutterbug founds someone in need of help, he
sends the word out to Agent Oso. He has a computer assistant
called “Paw Pilot”, who appears on a paw-shaped computer on
his wrist, who tells Oso the three special steps needed to
accomplish the task.
Once he has accomplished the task at
hand, he is rewarded a Digi Medal. Mr. Dos is Oso’s boss and
gives Agent Oso the assignments that he needs to
accomplish.
Mr. Dos is never seen, only his voice can be
heard from Agent Oso’s watch. Agent Oso is trained by
Special Agent Wolfie (a wolf) and Special Agent Dotty (a
cat). When Agent Oso needs to travel, Whirly Bird (a talking
helicopter) stands ready. |
The
Time Squad
|

 |
|
Time Squad is an
American cartoon series created in 2001 by David Wasson.
It’s about the adventures of a trio of "time cops", who
travel back in time trying to correct the course of history.
The series is set in the year
100,000,000 A.D., on a satellite which orbits Earth.
This
future Earth is
set as a
peaceful
utopia
where there are no longer any problems to solve. All nations
of the world have merged into one, and, according to the
character
Buck, there are no wars,
no pollution, and
bacon
is good for your
heart. In spite of this
glorious
vision of the future, the space station on which the
characters live and from which they travel to the past is
remarkably
anti-utopia.
The space station has a
shooting range, a
terrarium,
and a prison for repeat offenders, but it is
damp,
outdated
for the time it is set in,
and dirty.
Mostly this seems to be
the
responsibility of
Officer Buck Tuddrussel, a scruffy and immature persistent
bachelor, who nevertheless happens to be the station's most
senior officer.
The only
other official member of Buck's unit is Larry 3000, a
translator android and former diplomat who was rendered more
or less obsolete when all of the world's nations merged
together. Buck's mindless stereotype masculinity clashes
with Larry's weak sensibilities and the two bicker terribly.
Added to this the fact that neither of them has any great
knowledge of history, and they are officially the worst unit
in Time Squad history. But luckily they have encountered
Otto Osworth, an orphan who happens to be a history genius
from the 21st century, he is quickly recruited and added to
the team. Otto is the only one on the team with any
enthusiasm or competence for the job. The problem is,
neither Buck nor Larry is particularly willing to listen to
his advice, and he must often resort to trickery to make
sure the mission is completed.
As they embark on a new
mission to save history, Buck usually makes a muck of
everything, Larry sits scared in a corner, and Otto saves
the day. The Time Squad organization was created to ensure
that history was maintained, and the future protected.
I sure do enjoy watching these guys in action. |
