Brandy and
Mr. Whiskers |
|

|
|
Brandy & Mr. Whiskers is an American animated television
series about a snobbish dog and a hyperactive rabbit that
get stuck in the Amazon Rainforest together.
Brandy and Mr. Whiskers start getting acquainted as they
began their new lives in the Amazon Rainforest. They build a
treehouse to live in, using debris that fell out the plane's
cargo compartment... along with them. A big part of the
series is Brandy's desperation to getting back to her home
in Palm Beach, Florida. In the meantime, both she and Mr.
Whiskers adapt by exploring the environment and making
friends with the native animals. Brandy makes attempts to
get the jungle to become a civilized society by introducing
elements such as fashion, hygiene and shiny rocks, their
type of currency. Mr. Whiskers prefers to mix things up by
using the powers of invention and imagination to occupy his
time, but it usually causes havoc in the jungle. This
affects his popularity.
As Brandy and Mr. Whiskers get more settled in the jungle, a
lot of changes are put in order. They redecorated the
treehouse by giving the interior a more "homely
environment", which includes flowery wallpaper, tasteful
décor and an indoor bathroom. The native animals have also
become more anthropomorphic as they have now established a
new market economy in the Amazon.
The main characters are Brandy Harrington and Mr. Whiskers.
Other characters include Cheryl and Meryl who are cute, twin
toucan sisters that have a grudge against one another. Ed
who is a river otter who is quite dull in his personality
and his ability to speak, though he is often a tome of
knowledge in the Amazon; he knows quite a lot about many
different things. Lola Boa is a pink and purple-striped boa
constrictor and often the voice of reason amongst Brandy's
friends. Margo is a stick bug who is above Brandy in the
social chain of the Amazon Rainforest. Gaspar Le Gecko who
is the self-appointed dictator/entrepreneur/musical director
of the Amazon Rainforest.

Hey Arnold! |
|

 |
|
Arnold is a fictional character and the titular protagonist
in the Nickelodeon animated television series Hey Arnold!.
His head is shaped like an American football, thus earning
him the nickname "Football-Head", by Helga.
Arnold is a dreamer and an idealist who always tries to see
the best in people and to do the right thing. Whenever he
sees someone in trouble, Arnold goes out of his way to help
them out, even if it is not sensible to do so. Arnold often
acts as the stable center to those around him, whether he is
around his "family" in his grandparents' boarding house The
Sunset Arms, or around his friends at his school, P.S.
118.Arnold's adventurous parents, anthropologist Miles and
biologist/physician Stella, were doing missions in the
jungle of San Lorenzo when they disappeared.
Arnold's most catalytic relationship is with his classmate
Helga Pataki. Unbeknownst to Arnold, Helga is secretly in
love with him, though to keep these feelings secret she
verbally abuses Arnold so he will never come to that
conclusion. As such, Arnold has a more or less, tolerant
feeling towards Helga. He states throughout the series that
even though she acts bad she really is a good person.
Arnold's best friend is Gerald Johansen, whose relationship
dates as far back as pre-school. The pair have a distinct
handshake consisting of putting two thumbs-up fists together
and wiggling the thumbs back and forth. |

As Told by
Ginger |
|

 |
|
As Told by Ginger or simply Ginger is an American animated
series.
The cartoon focuses mainly on the life of junior high school
student Ginger Foutley. She, along with her friends, Darren
Patterson, Dodie Bishop and Macie Lightfoot, all try to rise
from the position of school geeks as they solve many
conflicts that come their way. Luckily for Ginger, the most
popular girl in school, Courtney Gripling, has taken a
liking to her and often includes her in her social plans.
She is intrigued by her 'gingerisms', as Courtney calls
them. However, Miranda Killgallen, Courtney's right hand
woman, makes sure that she is not bumped down from her
position thanks to Ginger. At home, Ginger records her
lively adventures in her diary. Her little brother Carl, is
often scheming with Robert-Joseph ("Hoodsey") Bishop in his
own side plots, and her mother, Lois, is always there for
advice Ginger is always open to listen to.
The series takes place in the fictional town of Sheltered
Shrubs, located in Connecticut. It is very rare for a
children's program, especially an animated one, to be set in
a specific area of the country. Sheltered Shrubs is actually
based on the real town of Larchmont, New York. Other towns
noted in the series are Protected Pines, a gated community
in which Courtney lives, Brittle Branches, where Ginger's
father resides, and Heathered Hills, the town of Ginger's
summer camp crush, Sasha.
