CARTOON SUPERHEROS | Page 9

A list of the best cartoon superheros you can find. Some cartoon series has a superhero as the main character, but searching for the best superhero can be quite a huge task, to say the least. Most of the classic superheroes has stayed with us since our childhood, and some of the more recent superheroes has come in with a bang.

Some cartoon superheroes are not from our planet, like Superman, and some superheroes are man made, like Robotboy and the Red Tornado. Others are humans who got superpower abilities due to some accident, like Hulk and The Fantastic 4, where some of them had their lives saved by gaining surgery and getting super in that way, like Captain America.

Some superheroes was created by scientists, like The Powerpuff Girls who was accidentally created by Professor Utonium and the infamous Chemical X.

The cartoon superheroes of the past was created in a much more idyllic state than the superheroes of today. In the past, superheroes was always a grown man and rarely a woman, but today the times have changed and one will find superheroes of any age or gender, for example, Jake Long - the American Dragon, is a small boy, or Atomic Betty who is a little girl.

Nevertheless, following is a list (and still growing) of the best cartoon superheros to find. You can also have a look at the Cartoon Villain of these cartoons.

Spiderman

Cartoon Superheros: Spiderman   Peter Parker was an orphan raised by his Aunt May and Uncle Ben. He was a normal teenager who went on a school trip to a science lab for different insects. There he got bitten by an escaped spider. He developed spider attributes such as great speed, the ability to climb walls like a spider and able to shoot web from his wrists. From there on, he became Spiderman.

Spiderman has a distinctive red and blue costume with a spider and web design on his chest. He is known as the friendly neighborhood hero who saves people in his city. By day, he is a normal teenager dealing with the average teenage problems, but by night he is Spiderman saving the world.

He has a childhood girlfriend, Mary Jane, whom he finally gets to be with, but this also puts her in danger when his enemies finds out who he really is.

Aquaman

Cartoon Superheros: Aquaman   Arthur Curry’s origins as Aquaman, our cartoon superhero, has varied through the ages, but it's still known that he was the King of Atlantis, but after a fight with the Shark king, decided it would be better to live as a normal superhero. Aquaman has the ability to breathe under water, and accomplish great speeds due to his strength.

He communicates to all sea creatures through telepathy and even from great distances he can command them at will. His greatest abilities are used best under water where he protects the ocean and the life therein.

As his weakness, he has to come into contact with water at least once per hour, or he would die, this is rather characteristic of all Atlanteans.

As master of the Earth’s ocean he is a cartoon superhero of great magnitude.

Captain America

Cartoon Superheros: Captain America   Captain America, our cartoon superhero, was the alter ego of Steve Rogers. As a young man he became very ill. The US Army enlisted him to test a new experimental serum on him. With nothing to lose, Steve Rogers agreed to the experiment.

The serum enhanced him to the peak of human perfection. With his new abilities he aided the United States in the war.

Captain America wears a costume that bears an American flag motif in the famous red, white and blue. He is armed with an indestructible shield that can be thrown as a weapon.

After World War II, he teamed up with the Avengers. Since then, Captain America has often led the team, with his sidekick Bucky.

Mighty Mouse

Cartoon Superheros: Mighty Mouse   After a narrow escape where he was nearly eaten, Mike Mouse hides out inside a large supermarket. Tired of living in fear, he sets out to remake himself.

In the supermarket, taking products from the shelves, he washes using Super Soap, eats Super Soup, gnaws down Super Celery, then jumps head first into a piece of Super Cheese, to emerge transformed into Super Mouse, a new character for the list of cartoon superheros

No longer will he run around on all fours, now he will stand tall on two legs, dressed in yellow tights with a red cape. Using his new powers he gathers up all the cats and dumps them on the moon, before returning to a hero's welcome.

Mighty Mouse can fly, and is super strong and invulnerable. He has X-ray vision, and has occasionally demonstrated a form of super-hypnosis which allows him to control inanimate objects and turn back time.

Fantastic 4 : World's Greatest Crime-Fighting Team

Cartoon Superheros: Fantastic 4
Four friends, all of them cartoon superheros, Reed Richards, a phenomenal scientist of great intelligence, Susan Storm, wife of Reed Richards and also a scientific mind, Johnny Storm, brother of Sue Storm and a real lady’s man and Ben Grimm, a grumpy man but an extraordinary pilot for NASA, went on a scientific space mission to investigate a cosmic phenomenon.

During their mission something went wrong and they were hit by the cosmic rays. This altered their DNA structure and gave each a superpower.

Mr. Fantastic (Reed Richards), the leader of the group, can stretch his body into incredible lengths and shapes.

Invisible Woman (Susan "Sue" Storm), can render herself, others and objects invisible and project powerful force fields.

Human Torch (Johnny Storm), can generate flames, surround himself with them and fly

The monstrous Thing (Ben Grimm), possesses superhuman strength and endurance due to the nature of his organic stone flesh.

Together the four friends became the Fantastic 4 who fight crime together to protect the people of their city.
